Laurie Stasi

Mankind ate
Fruit of desire
Was enslaved
wretching in the mire
With chains and pain
Sentenced to death that would remain
Plagues, punishment
Toil and thorn
Sadness a cloche in the darkness worn

A Lamb appeared
Bright and white
Piercing through the dark of night
Taking judgment
For us all
Reversing payment for the fall
Took the burden
And the pain
The thorn, the torment
And He was slain

Now I’m free
Released, at liberty
Consecrated and dedicated
And now I see
I’m sanctified
Justified and glorified
With Him
Who bore the cross
For all it cost
And took away my sin.
