As trouble rises ‘round me I can’t cope
I run for cover where your arms are wide
And in that place of safety I find hope
Your sanctuary is where I abide

I’m covered by unyielding radiant wings
The Ark inside your secret dwelling place
Your overwhelming presence, my heart sings
While gazing on your perfect loving face

Outside are storms and sickness, trial and death
And trappers seeking prey among the weak
The serpents and the lions steal their breath
But angels rescue children who are meek

You give me power over evil ones
In peace I stand as one of God’s own sons

Laurie Stasi 3/13 inspired from Psalm 91
