OVERWHELMING TASK

Overwhelmed, I cried. I had no foresight
Like a wall, a barrier, expanding
Difficult beyond my understanding
Pieces of the broken puzzle, my plight

Taking on the burden causing my grief
Focused on this task, too tall for my frame
Smothered by the details, glitches fall like rain
Work was all my struggle, trial was the motif

Crumpled in a heap, I fell without hope
Tears and prayers mingled in my weakened heart
Glancing on Your face pulled the pain apart!
Vision came, insight too, and the grace to cope

Battles weary warriors; strength comes from the Lord
His Spirit gave me guidance. Now I am restored.
